Default 60/40 bucket seat conversion...

i havent seen anything about converting your 60/40 bench seat into bucket seats on here... i guess ill have to get pics of mine up to "motivate" you all into doing it. basically i cut the middle of my bench seat out, making my bench into buckets. with a lil needle and thread this comes out looking "stock". ill get pics up when i can.

Yeah I did mine a while ago. I used zip ties to keep mine together. Can't even tell that it was modded with a console in.

I traded my drivers side seat for another matching passenger seat at the junkyard. It bolts right to the drivers seat bracket (Take it off by the way). Only thing is the tilt lever is on the other side. I bought new racing seats last year and took them out. If anyone wants them let me know. Out of 96 splash and are gray cloth.

I want to do this! What did you use to remove the center part where the console is? I've heard Sawzalls will do the trick but I don't want a big mess.

So what did you do for the part where you cut the middle piece out? I've kinda looked it over and planned on what to do, but isn't there a metal support sticking out? How do you cut that out far enough that it won't scrape anything but still leave the seat foam there? I want it to look nice.

^^ you pull the fabric over the center seat. Cut the seat out. Fold fabric back over. I could link you to a how if you want.

That would be cool. No sewing required right? My mom can do that stuff but I don't think she would care to do that.
