I can understand the reason of doing it. The interior of these trucks can be boring. Mine is pretty stock, if I had a bunch of stickers like that and had a slow weekend I would probably do the same thing. I would keep the panels for resell (if I did resell it later) like you did.

Yes! Thank you. Somebody gets it. And as far as the stickers 95% were free. I emailed all my favorite brands and companies and told them what I was doing and they sent a bunch out.

Road noise doesn't bother me. Just makes it more rough and makes me smile a little. Haha

And I just cut the power wire(red in my case) and ran it to a toggle that is actually ran to my aftermarket fuse box.

If you don't have a fuse box like mine, you will need to run a wire to something that is continuous power, basically a fuse that gets juice from your battery when the truck is off.

If you just toss the switch in and then connect it up again to the other end you have simply added a switch that only has power when the truck is on.

This thread is kinda old, but personally i think its awesome! Looks like a purpose built expedition truck or something. Pretty bad ass. I immediately wanted to do it too. But then i thought about how frequently i hit my head while off roading. idk how much the stock header protects my noggin (not a lot) but its gotta be better than the bare metal. Also didn't take into consideration how sharp the sheet metal would be or moving the wiring. But props dude, i like it

If your gonna put a radio on a toggle make sure you wire the switch the the acc power wire on the headunit and not the constant power wire. If you wire it to the constant every time you flip the switch any presets for radio or anything will be gone as it will reset the radio every time. Also I like the grab handles. The truck has that beach surf feel to it now. Love it. Not something personally I would do. But it's pretty badass I think. I'm trying to do as much as I can and trying to keep the look of my truck as factory as possible.

Hey thanks guys. Yeah I tried to keep it stock then it's just kept goin and going and now it's where it is today. Radio has been wired up like this since the last post or so. I like it. I turn it on when I want it and the keys are safely tucked away.
