Does anyone know where i can get a new carpet kit for my truck.. i bought the truck for 1500 bucks from a friend. he had left it sitting in his garage for a couple years with the windows down and cats got in and piss and shit everywhere..i cleaned the carpets a few times with carpet cleaners..took all the stains out but that smell is still there.. i kinda want to just get a new carpet kit and throw it in. fucking cats

yep, www.lmctruck.com or check junkyards for cheaper used ones. Can also check into the EDGE/Sport rubber flooring if you do not want carpet.

yeah thats a cool idea.. but i ran all of my ampr wire and RCA's and shit throughn the carpet that way it was hidden.. kinda wanted to keep[ it like that.. otherwise i can just run it down through the door sill cover thing..haha. but yea thats a pretty cool idea i might just do it anyways.. Wouldnt there be alot of road noise though?

Yes lots of road noise as there would be no insulation. If it is just a trail rig I would say do that. But I think the EDGE/Sport floor is the best option if oyu want something like the bedliner stuff. You get the insulation as well as the rugged floor.

Agreed. Plus, that gives you a place to hide your wires.

what you do is run your wires for your deck and amps(this is kinda permenant) take that noise matting, hot expoxy it to the floor over the wires and stuff. then spray the rhino or Lineax on. that way u dont have bad noise. Personally i dont mind the noise, when something goes wrong you'll hear it first.. thats just me.

I had a similar problem with my truck's carpet. I bought ultra plush carpet with a rubber backing from stockinterior.com. It was a little pricy around $250 but it looks great and really dampens the road noise. check out my profile to see pics.. hope this helps
