Hope this isn't too dumb a question. I have bought the replacement for the center armrest, as seen in this old thread: http://www.fordrangerforum.com/suspe...tml#post138724
My question is, how the hell do you get the hinge bracket out? There is a partial piece of the old plastic still connected, and how does one reach the bolts? Do those caps pop off? I'd sorta like to know before I start prying on stuff. Thanks!
EDIT: Found answer on another thread...thanks! Before putting it back together, I superglued some small cracks on the bottom of the armrest, then reinforced it with some thin wood pieces (used some wooden door hanging signs I found in the craft section at Wal-Mart). The replacement metal is a LOT stronger, and the top of the armrest feels noticeably firmer with the wood reinforcement! I would highly recommend the armrest replacement!
