redoing the seats involves cutting the old covers apart, patterning them out on the new material, then resewing all the parts together. not for the average person that doesn't know how to do it.

we use industrial machines. most home machines can't handle the bulk of the material. at times, we may have nearly 1.5" of foam, leather, vinyl, etc.

i will recover a pair of easier buckets for $300 in vinyl.

i'm not saying it couldn't be done at home, but without the experience and know-how it might not look the greatest. if you want a good, quality job, I highly recommend taking it to a shop. It's just one of those things, if you don't know what you are doing, leave it to the pros.

most places allow you to bring your own material. people bring fabric to us mainly with furniture. most auto stuff we order it in or have it instock.
