Default how to tint rear window

ok i am writing this as i tint my rear window i have been asked several times how i tinted my windows so in oreder to answer those questions better i am going to tint my rear solid rear winodw i will post pics as i do this. first you are going to need a scraper and a squeegee and a sharp box cutter. next you will need some soapy water in a squirt bottle(they also make a bottle of special stuff called winodw film application solution). to start off clean your window inside and out atleast 3 or 4 times. or once you think they are clean clean them again!!! this is a very important step. between cleaning your window use a scraper or a plastic putty knife with a paper towel around it and run it all over the window inside and out and around the window seal to get any dirt or whatever else maybe there. next you are going to want to unroll your tint and place it over the window and cut it the right length you donot need to be exact yet just cut to the general length you need. next you want to peel off the backing some are paper some are clear with the clear ones as you peel it off you will want to spary the entire side that the clear liner covered with a good soap and water or the window film application solution and then place the tint on the window and trim it to the exact outline of the ouside of the window then after you trim to fit the outside of the window as you pull it off you will need to be spraying it down as you move it as to not tear it and so it wont start drying on the window next move it to the inside of the window( this is not being done to a side window) next after you move it from the outside to inside of the window place the side that had the clear film on it on the window and use your hands to get it in place then you want to get your squeegee and start from the middle of the window and pull it towards the outside edges of the window. next you will want to use your plastic putty knife with the paper towel on the edge of it and go around the entire window removing the moisture and getting the rest of the bubbles out of the tint and your are finished. now if i missed a step some one please feel free to step in and correct me i will upload the pics when i get done with my window. one more thing TAKE YOUR TIME AND DO THE BEST JOB YOU CAN!!!! DONT RUSH OR IT WILL COME OUT LOOKING LIKE CRAP.!!!!! hope this helps yall out with your tint.

i will have pics up of what you will need and how mine came out here afterwhile till then good luck

here are the pics the first two are what you will need. you dont need teh same window cleaning stuff as me but it works for me stay away from windex with ammioua(think i spelled that right) next are the pics from cutting it to exact to the window i was cutting it to the right size and getting ready to put it on the inside of the window as you can see in this pic i left some tint at the bottom of the window so i could move it around a bit more(you dont have to do that it just makes it easier incase you need to move it up and this is it after i got it all trimed up and all the bubbles out i just needed to do a bit more triming on the bottom and sides to make it perfect. and the white specks on the tint were my finger prints i just have to wait to clean them off so no worries guys

I would add some latex gloves in that supply list, so you don't leave finger prints between the window/film, and a blow dryer to warm out the window from the OUTSIDE once you have the tint trimmed to help some that moisture evaporate quicker....
