Default Interior LED Lighting

I want to put some LED's in my truck but I want them to turn on and off when I open the doors not have to switch them on. I think I would have to wire it to the rubber door open and close wire? Any Ideas?

What all you selling 91?

I woulds suggest door switch or dome light and lean toward the dome light if it also has an on / off switch.

I like being able to turn stuff off when not needed.

I have determined that most mechanical / electrical challanges are directly connected to the nut that connects the steering wheel to the drivers seat.

Tap into the courtesy ligth and what are you wanting to run? Ive got Streetglow all around and install them as a second job. Even got a partial sponsorship that allows me to get Streetglow for cheap if you are looking to get the Streetglow stuff.

And I would advise putting in a additional switch if the po po are really hard on if they can see lots of interior leds on at night. I know Ive got a full setup on turning the visible interior leds on and off aside from the others cuz the cops are ticket happy with lights. Just throw an extra switch in that will allow you to use the courtesy light without the leds coming on while driving.

Heres my simple wiring setup that most of my customers go with...

the best way to do this is with transistors. I did this on my Evo and my 04 Edge with great success. All you need is one transitor per door and a diode per door also. I have a detailed post on RF called "Door switch lighting idea" I'm busy making a tune for an sr20 right now or I'd post more details.
