Default Looking for back, flip seat area, ideas.

We have the small side flip down side seats in the back of the truck...

Do not need or want them so we are considering some sort of gun locker / tool box combination i the center area with speaker boxes on the outside.

Any other ideas for this space would be great. Anyone have any photos of what they have done?

Thanks in advance

Dave

I have determined that most mechanical / electrical challanges are directly connected to the nut that connects the steering wheel to the drivers seat.

If you want subs you could add those. I would look at something like this. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...a%3DN%26um%3D1

You could a gun rack on top of that. I think that would be pretty sweet.

When I stop being lazy I am going to build a shelf that can lock back there. Just sits on the ground and goes all the way across the back floor. Maybe 10" tall at the most.

In my 07, it looks like there is the posibility of adding some sort of shelf or some other cover as there are groves on each side that look like where a peg or something could go. It reminds me of some of the rear hatch covers in cars/trucks that you pull out to cover the rear cargo area and then push in to uncover the area. Kind of like the automatic pull down window blinds. I've often thought about adding a shelf or something for cargo storage as most of the stuff gets lost back there.

That's exactly what I was thinking about. I didn't notice this as an accessory in any of the publications. Maybe they quit offering this? I thought about using the groove to hold a shelf. Something with hinges that you could fold down when you wanted to use the whole area behind the seats.
