Default OHC and Mirror Install questions

ok guys i just got an ohc and auto dim mirror and looking to install soon. i have some questions on the wires since i cant seem to find the right diagrams for what i have. i need to know which wire does what for the mirror mainly since none of the colors seem to be matching anything i have read, going from left to right im getting: white/purple, black/pink, black, what looks like orange/white, and i think red/yellow??

This is the correct diagram: http://www.fordrangerforum.com/how-s...tml#post209307

Your orange/white is probably the green/yellow in the diagram. I believe my mirror was the same way, Ford changed some of the wire colors over the years.

I'd suggest hooking up the red/yellow to hot in start/run, not to 12v constant as most of the guides say to. Otherwise your lights will stay on if you're parked with engine off, just listening to radio. And I'd hook up the black/pink instead of just clipping it off as the guides tell you to. I ended up hooking mine up, the streetlight across the street from my driveway would dim my mirror. By hooking it up, the autodim cancels once you put it in reverse. I was able to tap into it on the drivers side of the transmission tunnel up by the firewall, inside the truck, black/pink wire.

ok guys so now i just gota figure out my ohc wiring, ok so from the connector on the ohc the harness wires with the clip side up i have from left to right: light blue/red, blue/yellow (for sensor since it has the same color wire), light blue/orange (for sensor since it has the same color wire), bottom from left to right: black(ground), purple/orange, grey/black, green/orange, and black/blue. i have checked numerous ohc installs but nothing about the same color wires.

This will help you for the wires. Match it up via the pins.

Plug Labels:

Here is a photo of the console plug. I numbered each pin so I could identify the wires for you.

Pin Number Color Purpose

1 N/A Not Used
2 Black Ground
3 Purple with Orange Stripe Power (Hot in Run)
4 Gray with Black Stripe Speed Sensor
5 Light Green with Orange Stripe Map Light Input
6 Black with Light Blue Stripe Courtesy (Dome) Light Input
7 N/A Not Used
8 Light Blue with Red Stripe Instrument Light Input
9 Blue with Light Green Stripe Temperature Sensor Feed
10 Light Blue with Orange Stripe Temperature Sensor Return
Some (probably most) of you may have ended up with a wiring harness that used Blue/White and Blue/Yellow wires for the temperature sensor. If so, use the description below:

Ok guys I got everything hooked up today and wires ran, everything works except my temperature is saying oc(open current) I checked all the wires, I am getting 4.87 volts starting at the ohc connector pin 9 and stays the same all the way to the sensor, but on pin 10 the return I am getting nothing no voltage at the ohc and no voltage right after the sensor, any ideas, bad sensor maybe?
