Default Instrument cluster Help

Is it possible to be able to switch out the tach cluster in my 03 with a non-tach cluster from a 99?

well cause i had an old 88 ranger before for a couple of years and the kickdown cable was bad so i would always be watching he rpms instead of the road and now with the new truck i still am even though the problem isnt there, so i just want to not have one at all, i have no use for it, plus i think it cleans up the cluster too.
