Yeah, I'd like to think so ... lol
I've pretty much learned to do everything on a Ranger myself.
I hope I'm able to start the truck when I get the new 3.0 installed and hooked back up. I would hate to pull that dash out again.

Exclamation Re: 2010 Mirror Switch Wire Colors

Update ... My truck won't start through the ignition just as I suspected ... It starts up just fine when I bypass the ignition.
Can someone please tell me from the my pics what I done wrong or what I'm missing?

Not sure how you're bypassing the ignition but I would start with a multimeter to see how things worked before and how they work now. Somewhere there is a connection that isn't being made the way it used to. Maybe someone that has more knowledge of factory wiring can chime in with a better answer, unfortunately it's a bit hard to tell without having done the conversion the way you did it.

I'm bypassing the ignition by taking the black square fuse in the very back (not sure which # it is) out of the fuse box under the hood and then using a jumper wire to make a connection.
That fuse that I'm removing isn't bad because I've tested it. This is one of the strangest wiring problems I've ever run into.

Sounds like you aren't getting power to that line the fuse connects. You said you have to use a jumper wire, that means you grabbed power from somewhere else correct? Follow the fuse back to the power source and see where it goes. If you have a multimeter you can check to see if it's making connection from the other end before physically tracing it back.
