Haha i have the exact one in my right kick panel. I use it as a spliter that goes to my radar and cb. Both are wired into my truck to hide wiring.

If you were to plug it into a power point to create more power points then it would work.

What I did was cut the end off, use on of those adapter things to put it into fuse(one of the power point fuses) to gets its power in my right kick panel(replaced the fuse but it also has a fuse on it so you still have protection for everything, and then grounded the other wire to a grounding bolt located to the side of the fuse panel. Just remove the whole trim piece covering the fuse panel to gain access to the ground bolt(which was green in my truck). I can post pics of my handiwork but not until tomorrow.

Hey sorry I haven't posted any sooner. It has been a very hectic week for me. Anyways, here are the pictures I promised.

This first one is just to show that I used the same splitter that you were going to use.

What I first did was pull the trim piece off that surrounds the PDC. I then cut the plug off the splitter. I then spliced in an inline fuse to further protect the accessories that I would be running on the splitter.

Then I spliced in, to the inline fuse, a mini-fuse wire (can't remember the technical term) It looks like this.

I then removed the green screw ( to the right of the pdc), put a round connector to the ground and reinstalled the green screw with the connector on it not. Looks like this once installed.

Once all the wiring was done I removed the fuse for one of my power outlets(doesnt really matter which one, but i would recommend using one of these and not some other random one) You have to put the fuse you removed from the PDC in the fuse replacement power wire (what ever its called) I put two in mine because it wouldnt work with out two (not sure if its supposed to do that or if I bought a messed up one)

I put the splitter here. Nothing has to be forced to put your truck back together. it was a tight squeeze to get it under the fuse puller but it fits fine. The only issue is that you can't use the bottom outlet

With the Trim installed.

I know that i could have just tapped into an existing power wire to power my accessories but i didnt want to cut into my trucks wiring. This is completely reversible if you dont want it in the future.

I've seen those at wally world.

Unless you're in love with the look of it, you can grab the same thing without the metal finish on evilBay for about $4.00 shipped from (insert name of funny sounding foreign country here)

You can tap into your existing 12v or cig outlet behind the bezel & everything should be good. A new fuse wouldn't hurt inline on the power wire of the new outlet strip.

I've used a few of them over the years & they're really handy.

The USB does not work on my USB phone charger. Fair warning.
