Question 2003 Instrument Cluster Bulb Replacement

I have three instrument lights out on my dash. Does anyone have any advice or specific instruction I could use to determine how to get at these? My repair manual is very general in this area.

you need to remove the trim panel around the steering wheel, then you can pull out the cluster

Need 6 bulbs I believe.

You will need to sand the green film off for the light to shine through

don't forget that 04+ clusters with the digital odometer will require a trip to the dealer to reset after it's been unplugged. or at least that's what i've read.

Thank you for the help! I am planning on just replacing the bulbs all together to Red ones so hopefully I wont have any issues. But this with my little garage is definately a cooler day/weekend project. Thanks again!

You plan to sand off the green film?

Just suggesting you do better results.

Lol, I wish I would of found this thread earlier today! I just took the cluster out to replace all the bulbs...went ahead and did blue bulbs instead of stock replacements only to find them to...instead of being the bright blue I had assumed, they're more like a soft blue...bummer . Oh well a trip to AZ and some sandpaper/brillowpads later It will be done.

When in doubt...refer to FRF...I'm going to sticky note that.
