will leather explorer seats work in my 2003 reg. cab ranger? or do i have to change the seat tracks? Thx

I would talk to grey ghost if i were you. he helped me. i wanted to change my bench to buckets and am trying to buy some mustang buckets off ebay. heres the list he gave me.

Here is what seats will bolt in to a Ranger: This is only a partial list to get ya thinking....

Tempo/Topaz

All years. Tempo GT's are the nicest. Tilting "pillow" headrest and frequently power lumbar.

Escort/Lynx

1981-1991? GT's again are the nicest, "Halo" style headrest, sometimes power lumbar.


Mustang

Don't bother looking they will be gone when you get there. If you're lucky, look for Mustang GT's. Also halo style headrests on GTs.

Thunderbird

1982-1988, Turbocoupe has nicest seats same as Mustang GT but with tilting "pillow" head rests, almost always power-lumbar, adjustable thigh support, adjustable side bolsters on base. The best factory ford seat (IMHO).

explorer/ mountaineer

all explorer seats will work

no expo seats will not work, unless you make your own tracks. std cab and extended cab tracks are different lengths, and expo tracks are identical to ext cab tracks

My wife just bought a brand New 2009 - Ford Ranger XLT Extended Cab, and was wondering if she could get Power Seats Installed as she says the original seats are too low for her! Hope some one can give me some suggesting..

ford explorer seats mount right up. very simple to wire aswell, all you need is a power and ground for each.
