Last weekend I tore apart my instrument panel (thanks for the step by step!), to replace the bulbs. I went to Advance Auto and picked up some 194LL bulbs, but when I got the thing apart the bulbs didn't match! They are smaller. I went to my local Ford dealer and they said I had to order them as a set (bulb and socket) at a whopping $32.00 a piece!!!!! That's almost $250.00 to replace some stinkin bulbs. Does anybody know of a MUCH less expensive alternative? I checked several auto parts suppliers and they all say to buy the 194LL. The Ford parts site has the correct assembly for $27.00 ea. Wassup???

My truck is a 2000 i just did all the lights in mine and got them from the autozone i just took the dash apart and took a bulb with me and matched it to the ones they had.

These bulbs are #74 and you can get them from superbrightsled for around $3 a piece. U know i trued 194's also wrong bulbs

He makes LED replacements for dash bulbs. Very great product, way longer life than the incandescent bulbs, and much more clean white light at JUST A FRACTION more coin.


I would never hesitate to buy from him... He makes amazing lighting products!
