i own a repair shop,and i have took them out before,i think there's 2 bolts one on each side of it that helps hold it to the stand that its mounted on,you have to lean the seat forward to get them out, hope i told you right ,good luck i hope this help,s.

On my 94 split bench seats, the center armrest is attached by a T-45 Torx (the size used for years to change GM front brake pads)bolt under a round plastic plug inside of the storage area on the drivers side. Open the arm rest, pop the cover and you can get to the bolt. There are many variations, like some that have you pushing the seat back material out of the way to get to bolts at the piviot points that seem to need beyond human strength.
My advice is find a local junk yard and look at one that is already apart.
Just be sure not to do any damage, someone may just need that part you broke or scratched up!
