I did a simple search and it led me to this company: http://www.lockworld.com/ Better pics and info of the locks here: http://www.solextoplock.com/16cardoorlock.php You might have to contact them for a distributor. I found a shop in New Zealand that sells them but I'm sure shipping would bring the price up. As far as I can tell the locks go for about 90.

Yeah I found them too but I guess I was hoping for an online retailer. They said they dont stock many of these and that they don't fit my truck. They said they would have to be modified to fit and I should just get an alarm.

Just plaster a sticker on the driver and passenger windows that say: "No Items in this truck that are worth taking are NOT worth your life"

I wish a sign would really work...

So my next thought is getting rid of the locks and putting on a keypad (probably in the bed though). How much/difficult is it to shave locks? Do I need to get a whole new lock cylinder that doesn't have the key? I tried searching RPS but I know nothing about this process....

I hate a thief. Sorry about your luck, that just plain gripes my ass.
Alarm, Mossberg shotgun, shells, rock salt. First round rock salt, second round bird shot, third round slug. Best advice I have, it's what I'd do.

it always boils down to one thing ........IF THE WONT IT THEY WILL TAKE IT...........

all that can ever be done is make it harder and thief's will all ways go for the easiest target or the least attention getter .alarms are only a deterrent not the problem solver ,nothing ever will be,but they will think twice if you do.

if you shave the locks, talk to the body shop about it, they would be familiar with the process and give you a fair est. any idea what shop your going to? im pretty familiar with the north end since i towed for over 10 years in the seattle lynnwood area. when they shave the locks they remove the cylinder, leaving a hole. they then take a piece of metal, weld it into place, then grind smooth, fill sand, fill, sand, fill, sand, repeat process at least 20 times....lol, then paint. i cant remember if the door lock cylinder is integrated with the handle on your truck. if it is thats a big hole to fill. but if they are any good they can do it and make it look like it came from the factory that way.

Well, I don't know if this will help any, but we got this set up on my house (just took the pic) it has night vision, and motion lights go on if anything is messed with. Not much help when not at home tho. I just lock my Ranger and pray.

Thats one thing you can't skimp on is an alarm. I been broken into a few times and had to get a professionally installed 2 way paging alarm. I been waiting for someone to try breaking in again with no luck! My alarm installed was $650 but the last stolen deck alone cost $600!

Roosevelt Auto Body just off of Northgate Way. I used to go to Hammer Auto Rebuild in Georgetown till my hook up moved to Hawaii.

I was thinking of trying to find a plate that looks like the door lock cylinder but it doesn't have a hole in it... that way I would save the money on all the sanding and filling and painting.... I dunno... I'm gonna go talk to car toys on Sun... just sucks 'cause I can't do anything for over a week so just trying to chill

you made your self a deterrent and that's 3/4 of the battle .. thief's looks for a easy target, it's a snatch and grab game for them once that issue is out of the equitation its a whole other story.

Here is a great example. back in the mid 90's me and a good friend had the same except rig mine had a few mod's,stereo, rims and a few other toy's, his was totally a stock ride.. Now we seamed to always park side by side at work and one day on my way to lunch two individuals where trying to breaking in to his rig, once they saw me they ran... The only conclusion on why they did not go for mine was the alarm system, a well pronounced unit by the stickers and a FLASHING L.E.D.

Now in all honesty alarms only do so good but it's some thing a thief does not wont to deal with is draw attention to him self.
You dont need much to keep a thief away but just enough for him/her to look for a easier target.
