Default Where to run electrical?

I am planning to put KC lights on a push bar that I plan on putting on the front of my ranger. I want an interior switch, and don't know how to run wires out to the relays, to the lights from the switch. I considered just drilling a hole in the firewall, and putting some sort of heat resistant silicone around the wires to keep it water-tight. I was wondering if anyone knew of a better way of doing this.

USE A GROMMET.

Either push the wire through an existing grommet or drill a hole for a new rubber or plastic grommet. If the wires are in contact with bare metal, they WILL wear the insulation off & create a short which at best will short out your switch & lights, or at worst will catch your truck on fire.

By the E-brake cable, hood release cable, steering column, somewhere you'll find enough room to squeeze a small trigger wire through.
