Default Gauge Cluster from Newer Ranger w/ tach Into Older Ranger

I hope i posted this in the correct place... but Found these clusters from the 2009 Rangers on the link below

http://instrumentclusterstore.com/ID...CK-C26503.aspx

I have a 2000 Ranger reg cab 2.5l w/o a factory tach, Im wondering number 1, if these can bolt right into place of the old dash cluster on my 2000?
And, what if any additional wiring is needed?
Do i need to splice in a wire from the PCM and run it to the cluster for the tach?

Any and all help is appreciated.

04+ cluster will not work in a 95-03 truck.

95-03 ranger or 95-01 explorer (03 sport trac/ex sport) will work. tach will be plug and play. best bet would be the 98-01. completely plug and play.

Ive been thinking about this as well. Basically if you get a 95-03 Ranger cluster with a tach, you can plug it right in without any special wiring and the tach works?

So from my understanding the wires should already be there in order for the tach to be operational? Because if I'm not mistaken the wire that runs the tach comes from pin 48 from the PCM, however after looking at the PCM that hole is empty..
Is it possible that there is no signal wire from the PCM and it would not be plug and play? And if so, what can I do to get one of these new dash cluster listed above to work because i really like the way it looks! ...or is it more trouble than its worth?

Thanks

Correct. One or more other lights will probably not work tho as wiring changes were made over the years...
