Question CB radio mounting for a manual transmission

Im getting a cb radio soon (probably a Cobra 29) and can't figure out where to mount it at. It's a 2008 XL with a 5 speed. I don't think the cubby hole below the radio will work because of the shifter. Ive seen them on the roof, but that was a full size truck. Im 6' 5'' and my heads close to the roof, so I would think it would be blocking my vision, right? I have thought about the glove box, but it might be too far away. Maybe to the left of the cubby hole so it's out of the way of the shifter, but then i would be hitting my knee on it. Does anybody know about any other places to mount it?

I removed my upper vents and stuck it in there

Take out the cubbyhole and use the left cubbyhole mounting hole for the right side of the CB mounting bracket.

I know what you mean, lol. After a few minutes on high heat, my cab turns into a sauna.

Ill probably put it in the cubby hole. I measured it and it will barely fit.
