yes i have considered that.. but i have a toolbox on the bed. and i dont particularly like the idea of my stuff locked in there in case of a leak or something.
What about building a comparment in the door but the glove box or cupholder sounds like a good idea. Or under your seat? I have a pull out drawer on my passenger side on my van that I never use.

I know nothing about it beyond what is posted on the website. I simply stumbled upon the link, thought it was a cool idea and could possibly be applied to your situation. As Justin said, it's "durable" plastic, so I wouldn't expect it to survive heavy weights being rolled over it.

Do you have this cubby in front of your center console?

If so, you could either make a lid to go over that back cubby area or you could cut off the 'ears' at the back of the cubby and just make it so you could slide your ipod, gps, etc behind the cubby. There's a little bit of space back there so if you cut the ears off of both sides you could slid your ipod in on one side and your gps in on the other side.

a logical idea, but i have a sound system where my extended cab used to be.haha

sadly i have a 5 speed, so that option is out. on another note, i went with the idea on my shorty console and started mocking up a "wall" to keep my goods isolated. i'm in the midst of fiberglassing the wall so i can glue it in there. pics will be up when completed so dont worry.
