Wood radio bezel?
Anyone try to make one?
Either solid wood, or a vineer?

Re: Wood radio bezel?
I wouldnt just do the bezel. i would have to do something like the bezel, center console, door handles, etc. something like the old E150 econoline vans! those things were pimpin back in the day with the 2 radios, vcr, 7" tv, and 3rd row seat that converts to a bed!

Re: Wood radio bezel?
Wood looks night but I'm not sure how will it would hold up unless you put a metal backing plate on it or something. You'll need to figure out the depth issues with all the switches and stuff to since the wood would be thicker than the plastic bezel.

Re: Wood radio bezel?
Yeah I would add plenty of wood trim. I've made wood sil plates to replace the broken plastic ones, I'd love to make a wood gauge cluster back, but I don't have the resources to do so, I'd need a computer to cut the numbers in the vineer... But i know id look awesome with the radio bezel, etc.
I want more wood in there, just don't know what to make/ add!
I've got an extended cab, so I'm thinking something on the back wall...

Re: Wood radio bezel?
My F150 has a wood-tone radio bezel from factory. They used a plastic print wrap to produce the look. May want to look into that as a cheaper and easier alternative.
