Default How to I fix a "Warped" dash?

I have a 94 Ranger and the dash above the insturment cluster is a little warped above the trim piece. I was wondering is there a way I can make the dash flex back into it's original position not above the trim work?

Would you think a "hair dryer" would work? Or would I have to go out and buy a heat gun?

Do I heat the top or the bottom of the dash?

When I'm heating it up what could I do to hold the dash in the position I want it to stay in?

how about a picture? if you don't have any way to glue it down, or something to physically hold it back in place, i really doubt it will stay. we deal with dashes all the time, but mainly up near the windshield around the defrost vents. normally use some windshield urethane under the pad/cover, heated really hot, then set 50lbs bean bags on them for 24 hours.

but the area you are talking about, not sure if that would work.

Use the peice of wood that'll hold the shape, and clamp the peice of wood to the dash?

I'll take a pic in a bit. If that'll help clear up some confusion.

Heat gun... small thin piece of wood... and c-clamp.

Take the heat gun... heat for a few mins, apply wood and hold down with c-clamp... apply more heat... let it cool.

gonna have to take the speedo bezel off and get some type of adhesive under there. just heating and clamping won't do anything. it needs something to hold it down. all the heat will do is allow the vinyl to become more flexible.
