Default Door Ajar alarm

I have a 1995 Ranger 4x4 extended cab automatic and when the door is shut the door ajar light is on and it dings constantly and wont stop. Is there a fuse I can pull to stop that or what could possibly be the problem.. It is really annoying cause it dings all the time when the truck is on. Thank you so much for the help.

Hey bud I'm not sure if you can shut it off but here's how to fix it. Spray a bunch of WD40 on the inside of the door where it latches, it fixed mine right up. It's a common issue its happened on every Ranger I've ever had.

While you've got it out hit the door lock cylinders where you put the key in. It made mine feel like new.

I wouldn't recommend wd40. It will attract dirt and dust and get all dirty.
Use something like a brake cleaner or layout fluid remover or an electric cleaner that will dry and not leave a residue.
wd40 will work, just saying it will get dirty, and you will have to spray it more often.
There are electrical components in there and wd40 isn't the best for that.

I sprayed the shit out of my latches with electrical contact cleaner and it didn't fix mine.. haven't came up w a solution other that remove the center dome light bulb(have stang dome)
