Default Which floor liner will work for Rangers without factory carpet?

I'm a fan of Weathertech and Huskey floor liners. I just found out that both companies clain their liners will not fit well on Rangers that have vinyl floors. That is what my truck has - a vinyl front floor. To see what I'm talking about, look here:

Apparently, these will work:

....but I like the first style above. Has anyone installed the Weathertech liners even without having the factory installed carpet first?

Those first ones will be fine. They have the hook to hold the floor mat in place and everything. It may slide around a little, but they look like they are designed to cover the entire footwell area so should be fine. I would get those if they were nto so freaking expensive.
