Extended Cab Seats in a Regular Cab?
I searched on here, and I couldn't really find an answer. Maybe it's cause I'm on my iPhone or something. But anyways, how much work would I need to do to swap the seats in? I think I found a good deal on some seats from a 01 extended cab. And how do I tell if I have pretensioners?

x2 on the tracks being different. tried to swap my buckets into my buddy's single cab and the mounts were different. but i think you can swap to mount/sliders from your seats to the new ones and be good to go.

I know the tracks are different for sure. I just need to know what all needs to be done before they go in the truck.
And the seats look like this. What do y'all think?

Re: Extended Cab Seats in a Regular Cab?
that pic is small as hell, hard to tell.
the easiest way will be to get the new seats, then pull out your current seats. unbolt the mount/sliders from each set and swap them. then re-sell current seats and make some of your money back.

I know. I uploaded a new pic. And my current seats look like absolute sh*t, so. Yeah. I don't think that'll happen.

Re: Extended Cab Seats in a Regular Cab?
PM on the deal you have. The reason I ask is because I have an 01' standard cab and the picture that you listed are the same seats in my XLT.
Might be easier if I can get you my seats since they are already on the single cab rails..etc.
If not no worries, figured I'd try and help.
Thanks,
-Nigel

Re: Extended Cab Seats in a Regular Cab?
ok sorry i saw your message on my profile but ill post it here so others can see as well. i did this swap and it was a task for sure but you can do it. the rails are different. the ex-cab rails are shorter and the single cabs are longer. so you have to unbolt the seat from the rails which isn't to hard. and then the bolts from the side of the seat which make it pivot. then the center consul which was the hardest part for me. then switch over the rails and then bolt it back together. couple pics of the switch
the after math lol

Re: Extended Cab Seats in a Regular Cab?
What did you do with your pretensioners? Arnt those apart of the seat?
and basically you just swap the rails from the stock seats over to the new ones?

Re: Extended Cab Seats in a Regular Cab?
the pretensioners? you mean the seat belts with that tube looking thing? that just unbolts for the lower part of the seats. then re-bolt when installing the new seats. the driver side seat was the hardest because of the 60/40 stupid shit from ford
