audio wires
Is ok to twist and tape audio wires together (With electrical tape) becuase the wires are down in the dash, making it very diffucult to solder or connect with butt connectors, and I really rather not have to tear the dash apart. Its an 05 ranger, and Im swaping out my radio.

Yeah the wires are cut right by the connector, so those t-taps would probably take up too much space.
I screwed up because the instructions were not very detailed, I cut off the connector to the old radio so I could connect the wires to the new radio wires then I found this adaptor that plugs into the plug I cut off, then you wire the adapter wires to the radio wires. So Im trying to reconnect the plug I cut off, but the wires are very close together so connectors are very hard to get in.
So maybe I could try doing my original plan, but I need a Ford Ranger wire guide since the radio wires and the ranger wires colors dont match up.
Aren't I smart or what?

This is a case of doing a little more research before starting a project. Not knocking you just making a point.
If you have the adapter. Plug it in to the OE plug, and check the colors with what is on the adapter plug (going from head unit to OE plug).
