so my dome light timer is off and the lights are staying on for 20+ minutes of driving or sitting. im afraid that one of these times, they wont go off and they will run my battery dead. anybody know what fuse it is or if it could possibly be something else that is making them stay on? Thanks guys.

more than likely it's the sensor in the door causing your light to stay on..... reangers and several other vehicles are bad for it.... if i am not mistaken the fuse is #26 but it will also make it to where the auto function on your windows(power if you have power windows) not work.... quick and simple attempt to fix would be take some wd-40 and sqirt it in the latch.. then open and shut the door a few times to work the wd-40 in and the light should go out after a few seconds..... if that doesnt help you will need to replace the door latch.... or just pull the fuse....

i dont have power windows/locks so thats not a problem. haha thanks though i'll definetly try it.

I wouldn't use wd-40, yes it will work, but it will leave a sticky greasy residue and just collect more dust and dirt and crap. Use a degreaser, or an electrical cleaner spray. I got some Layout fluid remover from work, it works great, and dries fast, leaving no residue to attract dirt.

yeah i dont have any right now so i'll get some. im using supertech lubricant at the moment which is the same as wd-40. works good so far, now just have to clean it off and get the sensor cleaned.
