Default seats questions

so i was wondering if i were to install some bucket seats in my truck with enough lift on the seats to slide an amp under both of them is this something that i can do my self, does it depend on what kind of seat i get?

I think if I decide to get an amp, I'll spend the extra money for a digital. Way smaller.

Just take the driver seat out and use a saw and cut off that one section and make buckets your self. Cheap free mod

Look/Measure the seat dimensions and compare that to the amps, there are numerous amps that can fit under the seats.

on my 94 std cab ranger 4.0L there is not enough room for any amplifier under there. i have checked numerous places online and locally. The manual seat adjustment wires get the way along with the amp disallowing the seat to move from any position. and the amp sticks out the front of the seat.

The explorer seats ONLY fit extended cab rangers. so this option is out for me too. although having some nice leather seats like that would be awesome.

any ideas what cars i could pull seats out of to do this? can i do this with a newer ranger's seats like the one i saw at the junk yard last week? i believe it was a 99-01 ranger with 40/40 with a console in between.

Yeah... my amp almost fits... it wasn't something I even thought about when I bought it...

I think you can use any year ranger (or atleast any year that's newer) and direct swap the seats. As for modding brackets just depends on how you want it done. I've seen people pull the whole bracket for the seat they are buying and just drill that onto the ranger floor... also seen people pull the ranger bracket and attach it to the new seat. If you want that 40/40 w/ console though I would RUN back to the yard and get it... that's probably your best bet for an easy swap. Just note seat back height 'cause that has changed over the years and I don't know what your preference is...
