Question LED lights in stock gauge cluster

I bought a red wedge base LED light bulb to put behind the cluster to make it appear red instead of dull green but it doesnt work. the stock light bulbs work but the LED wont, I bought the light from superbrightleds.com and i bought a twist socket also and it didnt fix the problem.

Also... if you didn't sand off the old green color filtering from the overlays, any color aside from green or white won't shine through very well at all.

Make sure the bulb is seated correctly. I ran into this problem on my sidemarker lights on my STi. Sometimes the LED's pcb board or base is thinner than the bulb,.. you can fix this by taking a small flat head screw driver and carefully pushing the metal tabs closer together so that when you put the led bulb back in it has a tighter fit.

Ok, so if this is what your talking about, then this might help!....My dad and I took apart the WHOLE dash and accessed the lights, speedometer, gas gauge, odometer, etc. We went to autozone and got red LED's. We didn't do all the lights so now I have a Christmas theme in there (red and green) but ours were not working 'till we got some bulb grease. That was helpful. If this was TOTALLY un-helpful, sorry bro! :/
