1999 ford ranger. Mustang domelight woes

Am I wrong in saying that installing the mustang dome is not just a bolt on??? cause i had to move the stock wiring plastic mount that towards the front of the truck. And on the mustang dome I had to cut the plastic stock off that hit the roof before the mount was flush. Im just bringing this up cause im very mechanically inclined and it was not just a bolt in for me. Also which ways do the leds plug into the stock bulb holders so they are oriented right. thanks for your help guys.

cool. now the mounting of the dome?? It fit better after i clipped off the plastic stud on the dome.

well, that is a spacer, so you dont over tighten the dome. You will notice if you did cause the lense wont fit right. I thought the same thing on mine, I could tighten it up way to far and the dome curved.

k. So you know wat im talking about. Maybe im just to picky and expected it to fit more snug. Cause if you look the rectangle plastic on the wires that have their own channel in the dome dont line up with the mustang ones

in my 04 they lined up perfectly, it just took me some time to physcialy line them up since i cant see where the screws go lol

I have put them in my 96, 97 and my 01. In my dads 95 and Demons 03. Everyone fit fine.

okay. Thanks for the info. just fits more snug with that post clipped off now. It all works. Ill try and post pics up this weekend to help with the explanation.
