Default Re: dash painting help

ill have pics up soon, but the best way to clean a dash with it still in the truck in my opinion is to get a scotch brite pad and use 409 cleaner on it.

after that wipe it all down, spray one last time with 409 but instead use paper towels and clean

finally, just go over it with paper towel until its dry and let it air dry for a bit

If youre worried about the areas near the glass and sides, just partially remove the dash.

You have to drop the column and remove some of the wiring and smaller pieces to get out as far as I did. I couldnt remove the main harness so I had to paint mine inside the truck.

Lots of tape and newspapers lol, but by pulling it out some itll have no lines from taping off, and itll be easier to protect you windshield and stuff from overspray just in case.

Just be carefull putting it back in.
