hey guys i need help my interior lights wont shut off sometimes and it says door ajar when they are both shut. I thought there would be a button on the door just like refridgerators so that when the door is shut the button goes down and the lights off.

I dont see a button like this anywhere and im not sure what to look for next.

also ive just noticed my driver side door doesnt sit perfectly flush like the other one =( but still i need my lights to go off so my car doesnt die!

i just took the light bulb out cuz we had it fixxed twice and it still messed up same thing happen in my 2000 ranger

hmm i was hoping i wouldnt have to do that, but that still wont fix the problem because theres a white light above the sliding back window on the outside that stays on too ?

is your switch turned all the way up?

Is the off switch for when the door closes right there on the inside frame where it hinges shut? Just push it in and see if the light goes out, maybe it's not getting pushed in all the way.

The door latch needs to be sprayed with wd-40. There is a sensor that gets "sticky" and causes the light to stay on. easy fix.
