wow....this reminds me of the cat converter wars...to remove or not..that is the question.
We all understand the rules...I plan on installing a tach cluster in my 94 ranger which has a 5 digit odometer (ford and their infinite wisdom of stick shift trucks and no tachs, but some of the automatic trucks had them...WTF?).
I found one from a 94 exploder stick shift which has a 6 digit odometer. The junkyard cluster reads 166k my truck has 228k (previous owner was helpful in keeping track how many times it rolled over. So in that situation I would adjust the junkyard cluster to reflect my actual mileage. 166k--228k is a big difference....Just my $0.02
1994 sun faded (New Mexico/Texas truck) maroon, regular cab, 2.3 5 speed & 3.73's. Bought w/ 227k and climbing.
