Default Dash N' Stuff.

How would I go about removing every part of the dashboard? Like the top part, The Glove box, All that stuff. Because I want to remove it, Clean the heck out of it, And paint it black. Cause mine is Tan. And I don't like it. I have looked around and can't really find a detailed thing on this. If you can help let me know. Thanks, Bear

removing the whole dash includes removing the steering wheel which includes a special tool

I would strip everything of the dash and tap off around the window

Just remove the radio bezel air vents passenger side air bag glove box

Also remove the other panels to paint them separate

Remove the glove box just open it up and you will see 3-4 bolts remove them and it falls out. The passenger side air bag is then held on by a couple bolts and it will pop out make sure to disconnect the battery while doing it, There is also a connector you have to unplug

its a bitch to pull your whole dash out, takes easily 2-3 hours. id suggest painting some of the easily removeable panels, or do like myke said and tape off your windshield and everything in your interior you dont want to paint, and get on the spraybomb

Yeah. Good idea. But none of the Junkyards around my house have the ranger stuff I need. They are hard to find around here.

Theres this one yard near where I live that if you find a vehicle with good parts you better go after it quick because they have new vehicles that they bring in every week. Thats what happend when its the biggest junk yard in the largest city in VA.

theres 2 bolts on the radio bezel, 2-4 on the golvebox, 6 on the gauge cover, 4 on the lower panel on the driver's side 2 for the airbag, 2 on the passenger side vent, the defroster panel just pops out w/ a flat head screw driver, and the main part of the dash is held up by the column (which drops down) and 8 bolts on the main support of the dash and it comes out in like 3 hours tops...

I'm going to paint the dash in my '94 XL from factory gray to black. I'll post pics when I'm done, should be within the next few weeks, need to get some better weather around here.
