Default Help with my racing seats

So as many of you know i have black racing seats in my ranger and i like them alot!...However.. There is a lip on each side that makes getting in and out...not difficult but not easy.. I was wondering if i could razor blade the fabric, take out the cushioning in that part and cut down the metal frame there? Pics attached
It's only a problem on the door side obviously

you can do that, but it will not look right. also, the foam is already broken down/worn out in that area, hence the cover not holding it's shape. if you cut the cover open, then you'll have to get it resewn. it would be better to take the seat out, take it apart and remove the cover before doing any mods to it.

You'll have to just "JUMP IN" higher to clear the seat hump
