you sand down the gauge faces but first you have to take the needles and all apart to get it off and then sand the colord stuff off of the back and get colored bulbs or like i did its a type of band light filters called roscolux which i cut and put behind the faces..

Looks good

Only problem with the cruise control there is no bulb you can just remove so covering it up may be harder

Under the steering wheel are 4 screws 2 on each side remove those and that panel comes off then you will see the CC pod screws

i plan on doing this but in blue

the dash is a real PITA to get apart especially the screws under the hood release but once that's done it's real easy to swap things out

i put in overlays a few days ago to hold me off until i get started on the project of making an explorer console blue but just found one on ebay cheap so that project might start sooner rather then later

here's my overlays

This is the thread I was looking for!!! Can someone please point me to a thread, or please explain how to do all of this? A couple of my dash lights are burned out and it's driving me crazy!! If I do this, I might as well go with the white face overlays as well.

If it makes a difference, I have a 1998 Mazda B2500 (ford ranger 2.5).

To the poster that asked where you get the white faces, pretty sure you can get them on ebay all day long.
