Default Can I install LEDs?

Hey guys I am oblivious to leds and how they get installed, I know you buy Leds by the bulb instead of strips and panels. My question is can I install the LED bulbs in the factory sockets of my Instrument cluster and Hvac without any mods. Or do I need to change the wiring completly and is there sodering that needs to be involved. I would like to know if it was plug in play.... Especially for my instrument cluster. I would like to instal LEds but would like to avoid
A-shipping to buggman and be without my cluster
B-Ripping out the guts of my cluster to completely rewire the LEDS

Thanks in advice

superbrightleds.com sells the bulbs you need, if i remember right they're 194 type bulbs. those are plug and play, but if i were you i'd get the ones with the widest beam spread as possible to try and avoid 'hot spots' on the cluster.

install shouldn't be too hard, removing the cluster should be the most difficult thing. people who i've seen do this said the hvac controls were a bit more difficult, but even still they needed to make no wiring modifications.

When you have buggman do it you dont have to go without your cluster. He has enough laying around that he should be able to do it and send you one then you send yours back after the change. Unless yours is a special white face or something along those lines. I wish I could help you on how to do it because then I would do it myself lol Once I save up some extra money and buy a lot of other stuff I want I will be sending buggman a pm

I already contacted Buggman and he is still working on something for the white faced 2006 + cluster which is what I have. So until then its a no go.. To complex, he told me a step by step which was to complex so I will wait for his skills to further develop

i bought the LED's from superbright and installed them pretty easily. The only problem i had was that the lights did not shine through enough because the film underneath the gauge cluster was green so i took it all off and sanded it down and it turned out really nice and the blue shines through perfectly.
