Window meets dash help!!!

Hi everyone!

I'm new to the forum, but definitly not new to my great "rowdy ranger".

A receipt fell down in between the windsheild and the dash, and unfortunately, I need it.

How do I take off the black piece where the dashboard meets the windshield. What is it, a defroster vent? It's the long black plastic piece.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!! (I'm wondering what else I will find down there... haha)

i hate that lil gap, ive had a shit ton of leaves fall into there, from my back window being open.

it just pops out. get a dull butter knife, start on the passenger side and just gently pry it up. it'll pop up, but pretty hard to break it.

Maybe this is stupid... but, before dissasembling anything, why not to try a vacum cleaner? out it aprox where your receipt fall down, maybe you can "catch it"
