Get a bench seat from something and bolt it in the bad with restraints for the riders. Perfectly legal

Lol. I've considered that. But I just recently had a friend get ejected from the bed of a truck and pass away after the trucks front driver tire blew so nobody will be bed ridin in my truck for a long time

Re: jump seats
what i did for mine was go the junk yard and get the jump seats the frame, panels, seat belts and mounting hardware. then you have to cut the bottom of the extended cab panel and then cut the carpet back. their should be a bracket with 4 holes for screws. just screw the bottom of the seat bracket to that and then install the panels and it should be done/

Re: jump seats
If your truck has the holes already, it should be simple. Just find the ones from the junkyard that fold from the side. (Might help to take yours apart first to see if there's anything else you need while taking the ones from a junkyard.)

The second ones have brackets in the corners of the cab. Not sure about years. Mine is a 99' and has em

My 2000 and my brother's 2002 have ones that come from the sides. It's a 2 door vs 4 door thing.

I've done installs on I don't even know how many Rangers...and never saw a single one that new with only 2 doors. Weird.

Really? I see them all over the place. There's two in the family.

I've put several full sized adults in the jump seats, and have been in them myself. Everyone fit just fine. Some people, including myself, find them to be perfectly comfortable (and my lower back is all sorts of messed up).
