Default vinyl starting to look worn, what do you suggest?

Hey guys, I have recently cleaned the interior of my truck and did a massive wipe down of the vinyl floor and I have noticed that at the underneath of the gas pedal (where my foot is when I press on the gas) I have noticed that there is a spot where the vinyl appears to be a different colour. IS this normal and would armour help remedy this. any input would help.

Its common in every vehicle from the heel of your shoe constantly being there. You can try scrubbing it with armor all and a scrub brush and hopefully its just residue from your shoe and it will come out. If it doesn't look into some type of plastic or vinyl dye to cover it up. When I had my detailing business I came across alot of it and the armor all and scrub brush did the trick so I hope thats all you have to do. If its worse, get new floor mats lol

thanks clint, it just seems odd that it doesnt even have 3,000 miles and its showing use. The floor mat idea is a good idea but I hate floor mats with a manual lol

Yeah I know, mats are a pain but check Walmart or auto stores, they sell mat grippers so it doesnt keep sliding on you

Probably not, OEM or aftermarkets will slide without the retaining clip or the grabbers underneath

The trucks with carpet are the only ones that come with a hook for the floor mat.

I know what you mean, they do sell mat grabbers at some stores so that will take care of that problem. I used them when I had my 93 xl, and they were great
