Re: Black interior conversion
Thanks. When work slows down I'll get started on the headliner and visors next. Unless I find a black pre-fitted carpet for a steal in the mean time.

Re: Black interior conversion
The dash wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Just remove ALL of the little components first, then unbolt the main "frame" of the dash from the firewall and door pillars, and then it just the little hardware holding the dash to its "frame".
Re-install is just a reverse of these steps.
I've NEVER taken a dash out before this one, and have very little experience with interiors. So if I can do it, then you've got nothing to worry about. Hurry up and post some pictures, I'd like to see how this turns out for others too.

i would go for bucket seats with a console in the middle you can get a premade one online they are real easy to install and very worth it

Re: Black interior conversion
I haven't done mine yet, been busy on the performance end of things as well as my exterior.
kylejmcc is the one who's done his visors and headliner. Although I do plan on doing mine very soon.

Re: Black interior conversion
No prime, just washed with soapy water and rinsed real good. Yeah I got my paint at walmart, it was the cheapest there.
