Default Remote Start / Alarm

Not sure this belongs here if not can a mod please move it.


I am gonna be adding an alarm/remote start to my 05 Ranger and was wondering if anyone has any oppinions or suggestions. Brands?? any experience with any of them??

I wouldn't waste the money on the alarm in my opinion. When was the last time you saw someone pay attention to a car alarm?

That's just silly.

Slobra, get a good alarm/remote start combo, and you'll be glad you did. Every Ranger owner should have a good alarm installed.

For just the remote starter? There's places around me that will do it for $100 installed.

Sorry to threadjack here man, but I've got an old Bulldog brand remote start laying around that's still new. Are they pieces of junk or?? Anyone have any experience with them??

EDIT: Nevermind. I just read the Bulldogs manual and to bypass the factory Ford anti-theft I'd need a spare key that you have to leave in a module permanently under the dash. That just happens to be sold seperately..
