Default where to mount a CB radio

i've got a regular cab, its a 5 speed, and no room under the dash. any ideas on where to mount a cb radio?

i put 2 firedept highband radio's behind the seat. just to give you an idea..

Put it on the inside roof like truckers or on the dash.

the roof was my first idea but heard someone say that it wasn't smart, ill look into it more thanks.

well now im definitely leaning towards the roof....
did you have any problems mounting it or any leakage or anything like that?

no...the roof is double walled....you're only putting holes on the inner wall, not the outer skin.


I only suggest that location if it's a big radio. If it's small, so how i did my old one.....convert to smoker pkg/ashtray, then mount your radio to the ash tray.

I mounted mine under the passenger seat moving the seat front to back does not effect it at all

Since added 2 more screws to the mount to the floor and stilts to accommodate the drop in the floor.
