Default Help with windshield defrost vent

I need to remove the long black windshield defrost vent thingy on top of the dash. It looks like it can be separated from the dash, but I couldn't get it to come off.

Before I pull even harder on it and possibly break something or injure myself, does anyone know if it even comes off at all?

yes it comes off. you have to remove the windshield to get to it.

just kidding. just start at one end, lift up gently with a screwdriver and it will pop out. i've had mind in and out multiple times and have yet to break it.

Haha - I read your reply on my small cell phone screen and could only see the part about removing the windshield... Good thing I scrolled down anyway!

Thanks for the info - I'll give it another try.

Try from the passenger side, there should be a little circle cut into it as well.
