Speedo went on my gauge cluster and tach is on its way out to. took it to family friend and he diagnosed to be sure that it is the cluster that is shot. i was wondering do i have to replace the entire cluster or can i just swap the boards in the back? i dont really want to have to replace the whole cluster if i dont have too. also if i got a cluster from a 98+ would it have the green backlite? mine are all that indigo color as of now. thanks in advance

The best thing to do is buy a cluster on e-bay $20.00 & up and the speedometer cluster and tach cluster unplug out of the main cluster, or you can just install the whole cluster. If you get one out of a ranger the color of the lights will be the same. An Explorer will be different but will work.
