My dome light stays on when you close the door. I have to turn it
off/on manually by moving the switch in between two settings. It
has been this way since I've had the truck. It's a pain since I work
nights, and drive in the dark both ways.
How do I fix this?

the quick way would be to spray wd-40 in the door latch and open and close the door a few times and it should fix it....

Do you mean the button-switch in the door jamb?
I'll go out and try it.

you shouldnt have the button in the door jamb ford went away from them for some unknown reason....

WD-40 is your answer.... I had this problem after I got my truck... and BAM... wd-40 fixed it, and I haven't had a problem with it since then.

Thats great! I know how aggravating that stupid light can be, so Im glad you got it fixed!

Sorry about the cargo light..... I cant help you with that one, because my truck has no cargo light! lol

what's going on with the cargo lights?

I'm assuming that the cargo lights are supposed to come on with
the dome. I changed the bulbs (one was blown, one wasn't) and
they still don't work.
I can live without the cargo lights, but I thought it was worth a try.
I'm tickled to have the domes working, now I can think about the
Mustang dome light mod I've been hearing about.

the cargo lights should turn on with the dome light, only when you push up the rotary switch next to the headlight control. they don't come on when you open a door.

Cargo lights now working. After changing both bulbs, I pushed
up firmly on the rotary switch, and they came on.
