Re: Instrument Cluster Question
Yes, best bet is a tach cluster from a 1998~2000 Ranger. Several other years will fit the dash but there can problems with the indicator light layout and some gauges.

Re: Instrument Cluster Question
This is a great Forum - i've been looking over a ton of info on here over the past few weeks. Thanks for all the great info!
My question -
I also have a ....
I have a 2000 Ford Ranger Reg. Cab, 2WD, 2.5 4cyl, 5spd Manual
Would a guage cluster that has a tachometer plug right into my wiring harness?
*my truck came with no Tach
the guage cluster is out of a 99 ranger that is AN AUTOMATIC TRANZ
-ALSO-
1)Will there be any other work to be done as far as calibration for any gages?
2)Will I be able to change the miles on the new cluster to match actual miles?
3)Where will the info for the new tac come from? do i need to run a wire?
thanks
Nick

~thats okay
the guage cluster is out of a 99 ranger that is AN AUTOMATIC TRANZ
You need to swap the gear selector part out of your stock cluster with the black filler pannel from your trucks stock cluster
-ALSO-
1)Will there be any other work to be done as far as calibration for any gages?
~Plug and play
2)Will I be able to change the miles on the new cluster to match actual miles?
~Yes there is a how to in the interor section on rolling your odo.
3)Where will the info for the new tac come from? do i need to run a wire?
~Your truck is pre-wired for a tach, so you dont need to run any wires.
thanks
