Default seat belt bolt question

Okay, so I am stripping out the interior of my 91. The seat belt bolts that are on the floor on either side of the console and are T50 torx bolts will not budge I already broke a craftsman T50 and would really prefer not to have another one break. Are these loctited and I need to heat them up or what? How do you heat them up without melting the plastic that surrounds them?

Sounds like they are rusted in place. To heat them you would probably have to go underneath the truck with a torch and heat them it works best if you have 2 people doing this one holds the torch and the other removing the bolt.

they are loctited as well. i broke 2 or 3 bits before breaking out the torch. a small propane torch should be plenty. heat from the bottom.

I got the passenger side out okay but the drivers side has a stripped head....I don't know how you do that to a torx but the previous owner did...I think I can still get it though using my impact..thanks again guys.

if you read, he didn't strip the bolt. it was too tight and he broke the torx bit.

well it worked....a lot of heat and the impact finally broke it loose. The head was stripped bad enough where I couldn't do it with a ratchet but noty too bad to use the impact....that loctite crap is strong...lol
