Question head liner help

here's a question for you guys that have covered your headliners. did you remove what was on there or did you just use the spray adhesive and put the new material over the factory stuff/
mine is still in great shape just wanting to do the camo covering. any ideas will be greatly welcomed as i have my headliner out and in the house warming up as i type this.

I left the factory stuff on there. If you go to pull it the foam will peel off also

You may want some one to help you maybe 2 other people so they can hold it over while you spread it

I used 3M adhesive stuff high strength

I pulled off my stock headliner, and then used 3m super trim adhesive.

Edit to add- My old headliner was rotting and falling down so I had to remove it

if your covering it with headliner material take the old stuff off. it will look really puffy if you dont.
if your covering it with suede or any other material without a backing then leave the factory stuff on unless its falling down.
